An indicted Memphis City Council member pleaded not guilty to corruption charges Wednesday morning in federal court.Edmund Ford and fellow Council member Rickey Re- Peete are charged with taking payoffs from lobbyist Joe Cooper in exchange for support in a billboard case presented to City Council. The cases against Ford and Peete were developed by the government as part of Operation Main Street Sweeper.
Rickey Re-Peete was also scheduled to appear in court but did not show up, saying he was not aware the hearing was to take place. His arraignment was postponed until January 17th. Seems as though Peete needs to hire a new attorney,If his present attorney doesn't know when to appear in court he certainly won't be able to defend Peete.
But then Handel Durham who represents Peete may know that this case is hopeless and decided not to appear. But one would think that Peete would keep up with his court date himself. But maybe the reason that Peete forgot about his court date,is because he was helping the "Beale Street Mafia" move their files. His Mercedes Kompressor was parked outside 152 Beale the whole time the files were being moved.

It's obvious to me, based on the pixs, that if he were attempting to hide something, it wouldn't have been done in broad daylight.. Why don't you come up with yet another, theory.. up for court and you forget - there is
usually a warrant issued for your arrest.
Another no one ever mentioned a warrant
was recalled either.
It doesn't look like Rickey was suppose to be
there. They realize he has some unfinished

Beale Street is an excellent place to get started on our city’s corruption cleanup project. If we are truly interested in the future of our city we must start now. We must demand that our government investigative agencies get involve and do their job, otherwise ask the justice dept. for new employees. I am so tied of all this corruption in our faces and on every level. As citizens we can not rest or give up, we must continue our relentless pursuit of good government and decency. Color of one’s skin has nothing to do with the cost of corruption and ugliness in government. As citizens we have the power to make whatever statement that we want.
If we as citizens boycott Beale Street about corruption our statement would be heard loud and clear.

Which clues us all in on this corruption. If we missed a court date, we would instantly have a bench warrant for our arrest and possibly be denied bail LOL

Well that car is nice and its a good car so if
he does have to go to jail it will be still good
